June 3, 2006 - Family Fun Festival
You are invited to Montclair's 50th Birthday Party Celebration
Saturday, June 3, 2006
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Alma Hofman Park (Shark Park)
This is a free community event that will include some of the following:
Skateboard competition, live entertainment, rides for the kids, games, birthday cake for everyone, a chance to win a family travel trailer, The Aquarium of the Pacific Mobile Tide Pools, BMX demonstration, food at 50's prices, Car & Motorcycle Show, disc dogs, and much, much more!

June 3, 2006 - Skateboard Competition

The skateboard competition will be held at Alma Hofman Park (Shark Park) from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

This event is open to ages 8-18 (proof of age required) and there is a $5.00 entry fee.

Release form must be filled out and completed by May 25, 2006, 5:00 p.m. (no exceptions).

June 3, 2006 - Car & Motorcycle Show
The car & motorcycle show will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Alma Hofman Park (shark park).
Pre-registration fee for this event is $15.00 and must be paid by May 31, 2006, 5:00 p.m.
Registration on the day of the event will be $20.00.

The City of Montclair is turning 50 this year. Throughout 2006, the City is hosting several events commemorating this special occasion. Some of the events will include:

"Images of America - Montclair" book release

50th Anniversary Commemorative Banners placed on major Montclair streets

Historical timeline exhibits to be placed in City Hall, the Montclair Branch Library, and in various Montclair schools - April 2006

State of the City - March 30, 2006

Montclair Day at the Fair - Saturday, September 9, 2006

Join us for Montclair Day at the L.A. County Fair on Saturday, September 9, 2006. To celebrate the City's 50th Anniversary there will be a 2 for 1 admission coupon for Montclair residents, valid only on September 9, 2006. To pick up your 2 for 1 admission coupon come by the City of Montclair Recreation Facility (5111 Benito St., behind the library).
